Part groupings represent subsets of parts within the viewed commodity, carefully curated by Supplyframe to highlight the most relevant attributes. This allows users to gain deeper insights into trends specific to these groups, enhancing their understanding of the market.
When part groupings are available, they will be shown directly beneath the commodity indices (demand, pricing, etc.) to make it easier for users to explore grouping trends after reviewing the forecasting analysis.
Filtering
To streamline a large list of part groupings, filtering options are available to display only the most relevant items. Click the icon in the header of Group column to access filters.
Users can refine their view by filtering specific attributes within each grouping. For example, if a user wants to see only parts with 12 contacts, they can apply that filter, ensuring only groups containing parts with 12 contacts are shown.
Once filters are applied, the full list will only show the filtered items.
Part Grouping Drill Downs
Clicking on a part group opens a side panel displaying the indices for parts within that specific group. The part group name has been converted into a clickable link for easy access to more detailed insights.
Once the link is clicked, a new sidebar will open to the Key Trends tab that displays the Demand, Lead Time, Inventory, Pricing, Design indices where available. A user can see the trends and forecasting for each based on the specific part group they are viewing.
To access the supplier drill down, click on the Suppliers Tab.
Once on the Suppliers tab, a user can see the list of all suppliers that make up the selected part grouping. This will show the Demand Index, Demand Index MoM change, Inventory MoM change, Price Index MoM change, Lead Time MoM change, and Design MoM change.
This will allow a user to better understand what is driving the trends in that specific part group.
